Temporary full-arch implant teeth (also called provisional or transitional prostheses) serve as the blueprint for the final zirconia restoration.
Because temporary prostheses are typically made from acrylic, they are softer than zirconia. This can help reduce excessive forces on the implants during the healing phase. During this period, the surrounding jawbone is still integrating with the implants through a process called osseointegration.
