How To Choose Your Implant Team

Dental model demonstration showing placement of full-mouth implants, illustrating the importance of choosing an experienced implant team for this advanced, irreversible, and life-altering procedure.

Full-mouth implant teeth is an advanced, irreversible, and life-altering procedure,  so experience and clinical authority play a major role in your treatment outcome!

You’ll want a team led by a key opinion leader—someone who has trained other surgeons around the world.  Unlike other medical procedures, there’s no official certification to perform this treatment.  So the level of expertise can vary greatly.

From weekend-course graduates to experts who have developed treatment protocols and trained others—  it matters who you choose.

Take your time. Speak with friends, family, and even past patients.

Ask the right questions (see below), and never feel rushed into treatment.

Q1. Are you a specialist or a general dentist who took surgical courses?

Q2. How long have you been performing full-mouth implant surgeries?

Q3. Have you published on this subject?

Q4. Have you trained other surgeons in full-mouth implant procedures?

Q5. How many full-mouth implant procedures have you performed?

Q6. Will you be providing follow-up care, or will I be transferred to another clinic?

Q7. What is the longest follow-up you’ve had with a patient?

Q8. Can you show me close-up images of actual cases you performed?
